The main kicker on this is that he was actually hunting on land next to the park that had 0 permits for lions. That's why they are calling it poaching. It's not illegal to kill a lion in Zimbabwe with a collar. They say it happens all the time. They also bait lions all the time for bowhunters. He knew what was going on. He's going for Pope & Young trophies of several certain species and just wanted to get in there, get it, and get out. His name will probably get blacklisted........SCI has already suspended his membership.

If they were selling unborn puppy parts it would generate more headlines!!!!!
I think this whole thing is a national distraction from the Planned Parenthood scandal. Get people talking about something else.

This is exactly what it is about. I heard this morning that 74% of the lions in the park get lured off of it and killed. Now someone is going to tell my why this lion is so much MORE IMPORTANT than all the others that have been killed.

BOOM!
"If only as much outrage over a dead and dismembered lion were directed at those who kill and dismember hundreds of thousands of babies per year, our society might have a moral leg to stand on"

For the record, I skin and "behead" every animal I kill. And you know those beef patties you had for supper last night, Mr. "that's awful"? Yeah, that cow was skinned and beheaded. Kinda hard to get a steak from a cow that has its skin on.

Maybe the gubment should start requiring a permit to buy meat. To get the permit, you have to go visit the place where the live animals are slaughtered. Don't want to get a permit? Go grow carrots. This stuff is ridiculous.
I worked the Summer of my senior year in college at a local chicken processing plant. I can tell you that when I hunt and clean an animal it is done 100X cleaner than what I saw in the chicken plant. Granted it's been 25 years since I worked there. Remember one day where I got jerked by one of the manager to stand in front of the gizzard harvester and block the view of the USDA. The machine had broken and dumped gizzards on the floor. While I was blocking the view others were dumping the gizzards back into the harvester.

I bought my wifes engagement ring with the money I earned at the chicken plant. To this day I tell her every bit of that rock and ring is made out of chicken poop. :) I got stuck in the hanging shed for my last week there. Coups would come in on conveyor belt, throw top open, reach in and grab a bird that is clawing your arms with poop dripping into the cuts, then hang that sucker upside down on a moving conveyor of shackles. Had to wear a respirator to keep the feathers out of my lungs. At the end of the day I looked like a snow man with all the fine down feathers that stuck to the sweat. Never been so glad to get back to a finance or accounting class in my life. Gave me a whole new perspective on doing well in school.

Don't name the lions. If he wasn't Cecil no one would have ever heard of this.

You got the worst job in the plant. Bet you met some interesting characters, too.

Delta just announced it won't ship big game trophies. Not a problem, since they'd probably lose them anyway...

I just know some leftwing dimwit is going to get on Twitter to suggest that we should ban dentists to prevent the senseless killing of animals.

Two other major Airlines have followed suit as well.

Empire State Building’s $1M Cecil the lion display outrages ‘Black Lives Matter’ supporters

The Empire State Building’s projection of Cecil the lion and other endangered animals is being criticized for ignoring the “Black Lives Matter” movement.

Along with Cecil, whose illegal killing sparked an international uproar, a snow leopard, tigers, lemurs and various snakes, birds and sea creatures were projected onto the building using 40 projectors, CNN reported.

The light display cost $1 million and was intended to promote the Oceanic Preservation Society’s documentary “Racing Extinction.”
