The pad is an idea......I am hoping the 1000 has more room and I will prob go with the 4 seater. I never thought I would want that, but after not having one and riding the wife and 3 rugrats on a regular one, the extra seats would be nice.

Look at the gator. Love mine.
Putting turn signals in it this weekend since it does so much riding in town to the grandparents house.

I sure might. My uncle had one of those in Georgia this year identical to yours that we turkey hunted off of. I was impressed with the lack of noise and how it handled.

The Viking has more room in the front in my opinion. I like mine so far. Not as quiet as some of the others but there are things you can do to make it quieter if you would like.

How wide is the bed Joel? I like the full size Rangers simply for the fact that you can lay your gun down in the bed without it hanging out of the side. Is the Gator's bed wide enough for that?

No, it isn't. But it is close. The gator is narrower than the full sized Polaris. Where the Polaris 900 can seat 3 across fairly comfortably, the gator is pretty tight. But, for as long as it is (13ft 8in I think), the turning radius is dang good. Maneuvers between the trees in the woods pretty well with out any roads considering it's length.

I need to go see what kind of deal I can strike for a 1000 Pioneer trading in my 700. Although I love my 700 (I am not tall :D)

I called Brookhaven and they didn't know anything about them other than what can be read on the net. I am curious as to where they will be priced. I really like the 700 other than the knee room, so I am hoping the 1000 has a little more room, but I can't find much about them, so I will probably just have to sit on one. I am afraid the 5 seat model with power steering is going to be high, and that's the one I am interested in!!

Look at the new pioneer 1000. I think they brought it up to par in the options dept.

You can get on the Viking forum and find all the tricks but mostly using a sound dampening material and putting under the seats and bed. They also say spraying the bed with a liner reduces a lot. I haven't done anything to mine yet. I like mine so far but just got it in March. Will be able to tell more after deer season. I had a lot of problems with my ranger. Looked at the pioneer 700 but was worried about it not having a low range and running out of power.

I think I was the first Pio700 owner on here. I have hunted the crap outta mine, done crazy stuff in mud and water, broken ice with it, used it to haul hay, masonry blocks, etc. and never had any issue, other than the suckazz Honda light bar connections. Although it has plenty of power for what I do, if I can have MORE power and still be a Honda, I am gonna step up. More is always better! :D I am a big fan of "it cranks every damn time no matter what." Never could say that about any of my Polaris bikes. If I was not going to buy another Honda, I would get a Viking.

I too had bad luck with my ranger. I was only getting a pioneer or Viking. If can am had bench seats I would have looked at them too. If they would have had the pioneer 1000 I would have probably bought it.
