Hate to hear that. I've fished with Kevin before (when he was with reel peace) and had a great experience. If this is a regular occurrence I doubt he will be around long.
Speaking of which, whatever happened to Devlin Rousselle? Seems like things went downhill after he took over from Peace Marvel.

Come to find out he has done this to several people. seems like he's just filling boats and barely fishing, chalked it up to a lesson learned, corn dogs suck!

Sucks ya had a bad trip. Cast netting in the spring can use be pointless. These guys have a finger on the bait situation. We are usually chunking that time of year. Live bait is a summer thing, so don't complain about that.
Curious but what was the reason he said he couldn't go? Also what was name of the guy that ran the trip instead? Tuna fishing can be just like that. Sometimes they bite and sometimes they don't. I can't stand people that come down and when they don't kill a bunch of fish they complain. It's fishing. You are paying for them to take you out.

I just went backed and looked. I fished within a few days of when you fished. I think that trip we didn't scratch out one tuna. We put a 3-400lb mako in the air but that was it. Was dead slick, just no tuna fish. Couldn't even find a wahoo.

Let me first say, we still had a good time and caught a few fish. Couldn't remember the guys name that took us if I tried. Was a very nice guy and I'm sure he tried his best to keep us happy. My only issue is that after we get back as soon as I can even get it out of my mouth who I was supposed to go with, people ask me If he tossed me to another charter, and not just one person saying this, multiple people. Now i'm sure some guys have fished with him and they had a great time. Awesome, good for them, just sharing my 2 cents.
And no i'm not paying for somebody to just "take me out" i'm paying damn hard earned money to get a good chance at catching good fish. I know you guys can't promise fish but by damn for well over 2grand in a boat known for catching tuna we better be catching something other than red snapper.

And that's where your wrong. I just got back from tuna fishing the past 3 days. The tuna bite was at nite between 1-5am. Watched quite a few charter boats not catch during the day. Or if they did they caught 1-2 and those may have been undersize. As long as the guide worked hard and tried to put you on fish you got what you paid for. Sorry you didn't catch em up but that's the way it goes. Even in Venice.

I know this topic is a little old but for future reference John Cole with Southern Catch Outfitters 601-540-5528 is a good option for fishing out of Venice.
here are a couple pictures of the last couple trips i've been on with him
