The guy i work with has one of the 3 cylinder diesel one's with liquid cooling and it is bad to the bone. But it was also like $14000 or something. Not alot of people have that kind of money but his yard is 5 acres and i think he cuts his mom and dad's yard too

He mounted big lights to his role bar and when it gets hot during the summer, he cuts grass at night

I noticed on the kubota site yesterday they had a 48" with a $5,000 to $5500 price tag. Seems inline with some other brands. But yeah most of the ones I see being used are the large 60" w/ diesel.

As stated in other lawn mower threads before, if your yard is not pretty smooth, do not over buy on the deck size. You'll get a prettier cut with a smaller deck. The larger deck will gouge high spots in the yard and look like crap.

Thats the only time you've wished for a smaller deck.

You got that right. If my yard didn't look like a double black diamond mogul slope, I'd have a 72in deck.

I bought the Komander series Kubota zero turn 54 in it is commercial built for residential use I cut 5 acres a week with it. it is very fast and strong mower is well built and comfortable. I used it to mulch leaves this year (a lot) and it does a good job. it has a 4 year warrantee but seems very simple to work on.. make sure you get the suspension seat it makes a difference.
