Cam I couldn't agree more, as a matter of fact and speaking as a State Fan, its scary just how similar both State and Ole Miss are on both sides of the ball. I think we all can agree polls are not the gospel and can change at any given time. I truely wish we would end our season being #1 rather than midway through it because we all know there is only one place to go from here, down.
Now all that said, i really am proud of state being #1 because its something Ive never seen in my life time and I believe if this were the case in Oxford yall would already have tshirts printed up.
Now my last question, IF MSU rolls in to Oxford #1 and yall beat us will you rip the goal posts down?
Top 5 tomorrow?

Let ole miss beat auburn and then I'll agree with you on this one. Before we played auburn this weekend, I thought they were the best team in the
country. I still think they are top 5 and are far and a way better than Notre Dame, FS, and Baylor. Auburn would destroy any of the other teams in
the top 5 with the exception of Ole Miss.

I am a State fan and Ole Miss hater but I will give credit to Ole Miss, defense wins championships and as long as Bo can hold it together they stand a good chance of running the table. States has their 2 most difficult games of the year left in Alabama and OM. What state has done this year has never been done before in the modern era of college football so they deserve to be number one.
Re: Top 5 tomorrow?
I'm just thankful that the year MSU and UM decided to make their runs was the year that the BCS no longer exists. We can actually not worry about the polls and just focus on handling business. Just ask the 2004 Auburn team. I'm glad that can't happen anymore.
It's great that Miss St. gets to be #1 in the polls, but I expect that FSU will take back the top spot should they handle Notre Dame with ease, something I think is likely to happen at their place. But I'm cool with that. Who even cares if Ole Miss jumps us when and if they beat Auburn? Miss St. might go to #3, but it's all irrelevant if you just keep winning.
Now once you lose, you've got to start politicking. And nobody's gonna beat Bama in the polls once the whining and complaining starts to matter.
