Sounds like they were there to check unofficial results (probably because Cochran won the county by such a huge number they immediately concluded
something was wrong) and this was a set up by the county GOP Chairman who is a Cochran supporter. But still an amateur mistake by McDaniel's employees.

I want change as much as everyone else but McDaniel scares the heck out of me. He has some real tea party quacks running his campaign. He just seems kind of sleazy to me. I'm not a Cochran supporter but I'm not sure McDaniel is the right guy.

A lot of guys are saying that. Cochran has sold out the establishment crowd, but he is at least predictable. McDaniel is turning into a liability and there is no guarantee he wont do the same.

And how many of these idiots on his campaign staff are going to Washington with him?

What scares me is continuing down the path we are currently on and the GOP continuing to do absolutely nothing. Yall are saying McDaniel is a liability, you are fooling yourself if you think the rest of them aren’t. I am voting all the incumbents out for new GOP.

My thought exactly. His staff has proven to be absolutely incompetent (ie. the response and handling of "photo-gate") and his "that's not my job" quote on Gallo's show was about the worst thing he could have said. There is WAY too much smoke around his staff for their not to be a fire.

I'm for Thad.

If Thad is elected and Republicans get the majority in the Senate, Thad will be the Chairman of the Appropriations Committee. This is where the pork is handed out. Do you think BRAC will close Keesler AFB, NAS Meridian, Columbus AFB or whatever other military installation that I'm forgetting. HELL NO, they'll be expanded Cadillac style with every highway for miles leading in every direction paved smooth as a bowling lane. Mississippi will be getting our fair share, his power to help our state as Chairman is perhaps inconceivable to some of you, especially if you don't follow politics. There is no telling what will come our way INSTEAD of New Jersey or Ohio or W.T.F. state, because the pork is going somewhere, you can bet that.

So duh, yeah, everyone with any political sense should be for the guy and let's hope he holds the gavel until they roll him off on a gurney with paddles on his chest.

If McDaniel were elected he would then be a rookie junior Senator from an armpit state. What committee would he be on? Gopher Tortoise Committee? Left Handed Wallpaper Hanger Committee? He'd be on the back row trying to get noticed, utterly useless.

It doesn't matter that McDaniel talks a good game, or that we need old fat cats moved out to pasture, or we're gonna change Washington with new young ideas. That's a bunch of poly-sci freshman kid stuff jibberish.

The real political world is about power and treachery and seniority.

So yes, I'm quite sure every Republican is doing whatever they can to get him re-elected. So many of you are fixated on a personal issue, (his wealth, length of service to our state, etc.) I would suggest you consider what is best for the state.

McDaniel is selling snake oil, Thad is selling pork. I'll take pork please.

(No I don't work for him)

What in the frig do you think that rookie can do about it?

The pork just won't go to Mississippi.

Not to mention Mcdaniel is a close second to Obama in scandals right now. Seems like a pretty shady basterd, who the "@#$%#" sneaks into a nursing home to take pics of someone???? What if that was your mother?

Now to be fair, the McDaniel message I do in fact like. If Thad were out of the picture and McDaniel was running against a ho-hum candidate, I would more than likely vote for McDaniel. Because at that point, either way we're getting a rookie junior Senator.

Now as to McDaniels "supporters" and the various shenanigans, well.........they are amateurs, very hyped up on their guy, doing all kinds of things that they think are so smart and clever. Every candidate needs gung-ho supporters and will rarely turn down any volunteers, so they ended up with some bozo's. I'll give the candidate a pass on that, and it doesn't affect my opinion unless a lot more comes up that directly relates to him.

But to dump Thad now, on the cusp of being Chairman, is a big mistake for our state, IMO.

How many days until dove season?

Seniority is nice. But think about how much different the US senate would look without that junior senator from Texas named Ted Cruz? Or the junior senator from Kentucky named Rand Paul? Or the junior senator from Utah named Mike Lee? Three men changed the conversation in the senate and started enforcing accountability. They even forced Marco Rubio to drop his amnesty program. I can only imagine what could be accomplished if a dozen like-minded senators joined their ranks and push the establishment types out.
