I can tell you what not to buy. I've pulled the zippers out of two pair of side zip Rockies. Can not keep from hangning up the zippers no matter how you try. Always getting hung up on that inside liner. If it weren't for that they would be great boots. Comfortable and dry! After having it happen the first time I was extremely careful on the second pair and damn if I didn't lock them up Saturday. Sorry boys, just had to vent.

I have been wearing a pair for a couple years with no problems at all and I do a good bit of walking.

If Im not mistaken those are made by Lacrosse for BPS. BPS doesn't make anything! Lacrosse has two snake boots now. The old style is not very comfortable but tough as nails. The new style is much more comfortable. Not to mention a whole lot cheaper and available than the Danners.

Are you zipping them after having tied the laces?? I had the same problems until I zipped and then laced. After that all I had to do was zip on and off unless the laces came untied. I never had much problem with that because I tied a hikers knot and then double tied. I've had mine for 4 years and haven't a problem since I started doing this.

Gokey pull-ons have been great. Not waterproof the past few years but great boots.

BPS zip ups. Fairly waterproof, durable, very comfortable.

Or you could break down and get a pair of nick's boots. But it is gonna cost ya'. Folks who make a living on their feet like foresters and surveyors swear by them. I've read where an ill-swung axe head did not penetrate the boot. Gotta be good enough for a little ole copperhead! Only problem is their base model, non-custom fit boot starts around five... Hundred. I will own a pair one day. Small price to pay, imho.

I have the Irish setter zip up snake boots... Lightweight , fit great, and are incredibly comfortable...on their 4th season of use ( granted they probably don't get used as much as some of y'all do).... Had the Rockys before these... And I will say major step up in comfort

This is what I got this year to try. They have been ok so far. Little stiff but worth it not to have to lace or zip up. Plus I know they are waterproof.
