its a sad world we live in when a person can not express his opinion without being critized because it hurts some elses feelings. who is it for you or me or the media to decide whose opinion is more important or valuable. an old preacher and friend of mine told it like this "opinions are like buttholes and armpits; everybody has at least one and it stinks, but i do value my own". God commands us to not judge lest we be jugded. He also said to love thy neighbor as thyself. we dont have to love the person and the sin just love and pray for the person and show him his sin and help him turn from the sin.

i saw on facebook where ted nuggent had some posts and comments removed from his page by facebook cause it offended some. ted does rub me a little as i think he is a little over the top and tries to instigate some of his stuff sometimes.

True...........we are about to find out for sure. It will be interesting to see how this shakes out. On the news tonight some are saying he made a mistake and should apologize for his statements....................I don't think for a second that he made a mistake, he meant to say what he said.

i agree. screw A&E. they paid them 200,000 per episode. the crappiest network on tv could pick them up and score huge!

It means that he's going to be grounded for a while to see what the fallout is, and if it back fires on a&e, they will put him back on in time for sweeps week.

Seems like food network cancelled all of Paula deans shows. I'm sure a&e wouldn't dare think of canceling the whole show. Shows what kind of operation they run...it was bad, but not bad enough for them to dump their multi-million dollar cash cow just on principle.

I'm hoping the rest of the family stands behind their own and suspends production of the next season.

I think A&E's statement sounds worse than what will actually happen. They had a DD marathon on last night, and the next season is already filmed and set to air later in January. The network is smarter than to let their cash cow sink...

I feel certain that it would be legally impossible due to contracts and intellectual property for them to leave to another network involved without that network having to buy them out. Rock and hard place for DD guys, legally speaking.

My assigned college room mate in the dorm my freshman year was gay.. He came right out and told me, and said that he was ok with me wanting to get assigned to another room mate if I wanted.. I told him as long as he didn't mess with me we would be fine..

Anyway.. Over the course of the semester we had some interesting conversations for sure.. He said both his mom and dad were gay at least now... And that he had gone to church in the past.. I really wanted to know if it was a life style choice, a rebellion thing, or if he really was "made" that way.. I asked him a similar question that Phil mentioned.. I asked him flat out. "How can you look at some dudes big furry but and say Yummmmm" After he finished cleaning up the drink he spit all over the place from laughing so hard he said that he had no attraction to women at all..

He said he knew what the bible said about it, and he had struggled with it over the years.. Over the years I have come to realize that some people may choose to be that way and some are truly attracted to the same sex, it is a vice to them.. And I don't see it any different as an addiction to alcohol, drugs, pornography or adultery.. They are all vices and they are all sins and no one sin is greater than the other..

Phil admitted it, he is a sinner, I am a sinner, we are all sinners and we have to either change our ways and repent, or suffer the consequences..

I hope the Robertson's stand up for what they believe in and walk, with no apologies..

If someone is gay, that is between them and God. I don't understand it, but then again, I don't have to.

I have enough trouble dealing with the sin in my own life to worry about the sin in someone else's life...unless that sin affects me or my family personally or some other defenseless person.

That said, I do feel like as Christian men, we have an obligation to other men we know to be Christians to help them with their overt sin that they are struggling with. To me, that is the hardest part and thing to do.
