Your right it's freakin Ms State football.

ok state seemed to run the same play over and over and over and over with great success.....

What happened to the the QB that was so highly touted from Fl? Russell is not the answer.

Back to the beers!

Cord Sandberg ended up going the baseball route.

It's a lot easier to pull for state when you really deep down accept the fact that until we have a qb that doesn't look like a stiff slow uncomfortable turtle that looks exactly where he will throw as soon as he gets the ball and then when it isn't open he ignorantly forces it or take 3 of the slowest scramble steps in college football history before being sacked...we won't have much offense. Perk can only do do much.

We are better with Dak, no doubt. Hope Tyler is not cleared to play next two games..if he just sits out Alcorn, they won't give Dak any credit...if he beats Alcorn and Auburn, maybe Mullen has to take him seriously.

I am not saying he is the answer either. They both just look so frozen and slow. The point is Tyler isn't going to be he answer so why not try him. There is nothing to lose?

Yep, time for Russell to hit the bench and give Dak a chance. Offense looked better with him in the game anyway. Defense did their job, the offense just didn't give any help. Play calling was terrible and I think that has a lot to do with Russell. They are scared to do much with Russell because he folds under pressure whether from a defense or just a clutch situation.

Whose fault is it that we only have Tyler and Dak to choose from at QB? There is a reason wo don't have top QBs wanting to come play for Mullen and Koening? Russell was committed before Croom was let go. Just imagine what the QB situation would be like if Russell had not stuck with his commitment. Then they take a huge risk on Sandberg when there was a 99% chance he was going pro. QB recruiting has been disappointing under Mullen.

Not sure Dak is the perfect answer either...but have to wonder how far along he would be if MSU had invested as much time in him as they have Russell. I could see Dak being Relf-like in a lot of ways.

THAT. I think the only way State does anyting this year besides lose is to have Dak run an offense similar to what Relf did at State. Defenses must have to account for a qb that can run, otherwise they will pin their ears back and mop the floor with Russel.

I appreciate the fact that you are a realist and don't mind calling a spade a spade.
