Was there a couple of days ago for my wife's convention. I'd say the term you're looking for is PWT. I know plenty of rednecks that don't act like that.

Its all in timing. We drive down the night before and stay about 1.5 from Orange Beach. Most hotel check in times is from 2-4pm so traffic flow will show this. Get up around 8am, eat a nice breakfast then go on down to the beach. Play some putt-putt or whatever, eat a BIG lunch close to condo and then check in and spend the rest of the evening on the beach while others are rushing to check-in and trying to find some supper. Timing my friends, timing.

Just got back from Orange Beach for a week and I have noticed that every year there are more and more people from Louisiana and this year it was majority from Louisiana. You could spit any direction and hit something LSU.

The fact is that OB and Gulf Shores will be what Destin is now in terms of traffic and crowds in 10 years or less. I grew up going to Destin and now the overcrowding is just intolerable. We live in the south so riding yourselves of beach necks is wasted time and effort. Stay out of the cheap condo areas and you will have a better chance of being surrounded by like individuals.

10-4, holehunter. I grew up going to Destin as well, now, total waste of time. Stay in MS there is no sand or water in AL.......

Go to da mountains. The water's 45-52 and there ain't any ninjas...plenty PWTs though.

That being said, I would much rather be parked on the beach next to some State or Ole Miss fans than a bunch of Updykes! Keep spending that MS money on the coast, I know the business owners sure appreciate it.
