The fire marshalls will never let us break the record due to safety reasons. They put a 13500 limit on the 07 super regional I think.

Probably best since UCA is an all righty lineup I think.

A complete game win from him would be huge. He's capable if he's on (and the defense fields the grounders).

I think we are a much better team than UCA, but the fact they beat the Bulldogs twice (for whatever reason) concerns me. Baseball is a lot about confidence.....they will have a little more confidence in Starville than your "average" 4 seed.

As far as the crowd.....hopefully a large crowd will help the Bulldogs. I saw the crowd that set the record attendance of almost 15,000....i have a "feel" for what that is like. I say that to lead to........there is no question in my mind we have had larger crowds than that at Regional games. I know at one time the NCAA got a portion of the gate, hence the numbers were cheated down. no question in my mind the Clemson Regional game that sent us to Omaha in 2007 was larger than the record crowd......it was announced at 13,700 or so.........I do think that this year the attendance will be "accurate"......too long to explain why.

As far as baseball......it is not uncommon for the #4 seeds to beat a #1 seed. A 4 seed will often have a STUD pitcher that can shut a team down for a single game, what they lack is depth to go deep in a tournament.

Baseball is all about getting hot at the right time. Any 1 or 2 seed could easily make it to Omaha if they "put everything together". There are some 3 seeds that can get hot and make it......it will surprise me if a 4 seed makes it to Omaha......but won't surprise me if a 4 seed sneaks up and wins a regional.

NOBODY thought Arizona would win it all last year........but they put it all together at the right time.

I hope Rebels and Bulldogs go to Omaha......in opposite brackets.......and we play for NC. I take that back.......actually, i hope Ole Miss is 2 and out!

There is no more exciting time than this!!! Was hoping we would be able to make it to Dudy Noble for the weekend, but still in the field and hoping to be caught up by Sunday. We let the deadline pass on Tuesday for keeping our seats knowing we just were not going to make it. Will be a fairly tough regional I think. Quality teams who all think they can win it. Like stitch said, confidence means a lot. Hope we can get a win right off and stay out of the bullpen as much as possible. Hope Renfro can get it back going. I assume Bradford is back and healthy???

general admission is slated to sell out and standing room only tix will start. traffic/parking will be a beast!!!

game times 2pm and 7pm fri, sat & sun

The way Stricklin was talking this morning, I don't know that this is the case. Believe I heard we will continue selling, he warned to get there very early. We got 13,700 in there in 07, Here's to hoping we shatter that.

I think there will be an excellent crowd Friday night. If the Bulldogs win Friday, I think you see a record crowd Saturday.

What I took away from Stricklin's comments were that they were going to let everyone in the gate.......there will be a lot of people there for the "experience" that may not be able to actually see the game.......

Well it's gameday boys! Plan on leaving work a little early to get up there which means this will be the longest work day of my life...

took refreshments out to trailer earlier and campus is hoppin'! gonna be a fun series!

there's a will call tent set up outside outfield gate if you've ordered tix and haven't picked them up (or didn't have time for them to be delivered)
