Ammonium nitrate and aluminum powder. If you have the nitrate, walgreens cold pacs have the powder. Or you can order on line. Around here Gary's keeps a pretty good supply.

think ya got that backwards...the cold packs have the ammonia, you'll still need to buy the aluminum powder somewhere

Hunter's Haven has it in Tupelo. It's prett pricey though and I would imagine getting a few pounds of it would set you back a good ways. Just for redneck hold my beer fooling around a small amount is about all I could or would use. I can see where it might be worth it to blow a beaver dam with some management of the beaver population having been stared or planned for after blowing the dam. Otherwise, the will have the dam built back in a few nights.

It's called Tannerite. Sportsman's warehouse sells it. Plenty of other places carry it too. Star Exploding targets is one of the manufacturers.

If you can get your hands on Ammonium Nitrate, you can make it yourself.

The half pound can isn't much louder than a rifle but it will split a 10" stump in half. My wife loves shooting them.

She has one of those concrete? col reb statues that we are going to blow up at some point this summer. She's been waiting all winter long to do it.

Yup. Or you can just buy Ammonium Nitrate instead of the cold packs, but your name may end up on a list you don't want it on.

Using the math of what he used, that's $360. You could have paid a demo guy half of that and blown the whole thing out of there.

With that being said, it is very cool.

I don't understand the fuel without a road flare going (ignition source). It just vaporizes the gasoline and no pyrotechnics. Everybody loves a fuel air explosion. Flour and ethylene-glycol (antifreeze) added a-la-carte is even mo fun.

I would normally ask for a picture, but in this situation I want to see some video
