Actually one of the guys was not involved with the assaults and one o them the guy was only and the second the other two were waiting around some where, still does not make it right.

They targeted the other students, stalked them, attacked them, and beat then until they were unconscious.

It was not self-defense.

Needing some pocket change and being hungry for a late night snack are not justification for assault and battery.

Case closed. From a university standpoint, the two attackers, upon admitting their actions, should have been immediately expelled. Their rights as criminal defendants should have no bearing on the university protecting other students from such thugs.

Have they been expelled yet? Do we really need Columbo to investigate? Imagine the victims being released from the hospital, getting back onto campus, and seeing the attackers (who all made bail btw) on campus with them. If any of those victims had been my child, those criminals would NOT be safe while out on bond.

Sickening. Those players are cowards and thugs. There is nothing to debate about it.

Apparently, as of 2/14, the players have been "interim suspended" by the university and are not allowed to be on campus, pending a UA judicial review. Columbo, the CSI team, and Oprah have all been retained to assist in the investigation and review process. The players' access to UA provided transportation and off campus housing shall remain in effect pending the review.

According to sources, the review by UA will be focused upon just how hungry the players were, and whether their funds had dipped below the level entitling them to resort to their cultural conditioning to deal with such situations. Other mitigating factors to be considered will be whether any of the victims resisted, thereby justifying a more severe beating.

One of the players is being allowed to go home to his mommy in Florida, while out on bond. This player is being represented by a former Alabama football player who is familiar with the UA football player entitlement system.

No defense of the behavior/actions here... Just asked a question. I say punish em as you would any other student, period! Hell maybe a bit more harsh as the expectation of ambassadors of the school should be greater than that of the average student.
