Came home from school, mommy, the scouts came to school, i want to be one. No, you already have been a scout, and quit. next year, same gig. Next year, same gig. Kept telling me I had been a scout, and quit. Turns out, year later, found out my older brother had been a scout and quit. Neither of us can tie a knot worth a crap because HE quit the scouts. I got over my scout anxiety by beating the crap outta a couple....not because they were scouts but it didnt hurt either.
Palamore knots are for crankbaits....And you can tie them in the dark if your in pratice. Bet I couldnt tie one before daylite since I aint tired in 3 years.
If you cant tie knots, tie a lot. bwhahahaha. Can I use that?
Avery crimps and line. Too kewl. travis

Bowline (sp?)......After the high water this weekend, I went along the levees (rice field) and gathered-up all the decoys that came un-tied.....they had used a 'half hitch' on some and a 'slip' knot on others.

I TIE A BOWLINE WHICH IS AN EXCELENT KNOT, BUT HERE IS THE REAL SECRET AND THIS WOULD PROBABLY WORK EVEN WITH A SLIP KNOT,,,I PUT A DROP OF SUPERGLUE ON THE KNOT AFTER I TIE. I HAVE NEVER HAD ONE TO FAIL!

I can't believe I forgot about the bowline...the rabbit comes out of the hole, around the tree and back in the hole.

Hey I knew I liked y'all for a reason!
Eagle Scout '76. Bicentennial Certificate is signed by President Ford (an Eagle Scout in his day).
OA Brotherhood.
No Philmont -but maybe someday!
I need to go back and re-learn my knots - not familiar with the palomar?? Scout Handbook is a handy reference tool even at age 39.

Wingman.....no wonder you can't tie a bowline.....think about it......if the 'Squabbit' comes out of a hole in the ground and goes around the nearest tree, then back into the same hole (in the ground).....you AIN'T GOT NO KNOT!
