Did i read regulations correctly that youth gun season opens Sat and they can continue hunt with gun through Jan 31?

Look forward to this weekend more than any other the whole season....i have been in hospital since wed BP shot up for no reason...good now but running test....told doc he had to cut me by friday or I walk,got youth hunt with my daughter....he said dont worry u be there......

Yes, for the most part (without reading the regs) that is how it is. During our traditional primitive weapons season (usually Dec 2-15) they can use modern firearms. During our late season primitive weapons season they can use guns then as well. The only thing I'm not sure about is that it might be restricted to private lands only.
