Enjoy the moment fellas...will be interesting to see how it all unfolds.

Haven't you guys considered that Dan Mullen may not want to leave? As long as the bulldogs finish their seasons bowl-eligible and receive respect in the SEC, he has a job for another 20 years. He needs to win more egg bowls than he loses. He can have occasional 5 & 7 seasons which keep fan egos in check and 9 & 3 seasons to keep the hope alive. The MSU fanbase clearly doesn't contribute enough to support a championship-caliber program but isn't delusional about it. We have shown we are happy being considered middle-of the pack in the SEC and receiving top 25 rankings. He is getting a fat paycheck for something he can clearly deliver. He and Meghan may want to raise their kids in a nice college town and stay where they are appreciated.

I have. Who knows what's really in a man's heart. I know he won't leave for just any job.

Thats been part of the problem, one of his biggest accomplishments so far is changing that attitude. I had a feeling the guy would have success when he first spoke to the bulldog club after being hired. You could tell he wasn't one to settle for mediocrity.

Apparently it hasn't rubbed off on everyone. JDGator is happy with mediocrity.

Well I guess you cant reform an entire fanbase. I was speaking more about the guys' attitudes in the locker room. Mullen isnt afraid to say the word championship just because he coaches at MSU. Ive seen how it gets people on edge when he talks about trying to win a championship. I like that about him because after all, if that isn't your goal why the hell would you step on the field.

So you and dutch dog will fire him if he doesn't bring home a championship in the next few years?

No just expect nothing less. I don't think Mullen minds those expectations, because thats what he's striving for. He defines success as the c word so why shouldn't the fans.

This is so true and it drives me freaking crazy. "YEA WE ARE GOING TO THE CRAP BOWL" It drives me nuts. We could be better than a middle tier SEC school if more folks wanted it.
