The only mistake I made in the initial post was leaving Arkansas off the list. Never would have thought they could lose either of their first 2 games -- especially after watching College Confidential on ESPN a few weeks ago and listening to their players talk about this season being so magical.

Then I heard John L Smith talk and knew I should have gone back and put them on it.

Put a fork in Arkansas, they are done. Arkansas is now a very winnable game for State and Ole Miss.

I think Chizik is about to get exposed as the world gets to see what kind of coach he is without Malzahn and Cam Newton. Still a lot of talent on this team so Ole Miss should not count this as a guaranteed win.

"No doubt about it" (using cliched coachspeak), there are NO guaranteed wins on the UM schedule.

However, after these first two weeks of play, I am seeing a couple of more winnable games on the schedule --- enough to give the Rebs a decent shot at 6 wins. Doesn't mean the Rebs will seize the opportunity. But it certainly looks more doable.

I think to cap off this thread...hindsight to the answer of who was most to lose after 2 weeks...gotta be Ark and Auburn in a close one...WHY? Arkansas obviously got egg on their face in the upset, but Auburn is now not only 0-2 but they look like a team that could lose a whole lot more if they don't come together quick...schedule ain't getting easier...
