I get handed a clipboard at HRC hunts (usually when the marshal has to run an errand and then comes back during the last dog's run), and a shotgun and shells at AKC hunts. :lol:

This is my first time to go to a hunt test. I am planning on going to the one in Oxford this weekend. I just wanted to see how they work so I may bring my dog in the future. Can someone provide details on time and location and if this is something that I would find helpful in attending and what to anticipate if I do come? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

For the complete experience:
Show up around 7:30ish
Wear camo
Bring a folding chair
Bring a cooler with drinks (food and drinks will be available on the grounds)


Don't know what level your dog is working at or what you're interested in seeing. I will be running Finished. You are welcome to come over and visit BUT be warned, I will be there to have a good time and that I will do!

I will be driving a brown Dodge 2500 (will probably be dirty and appear black). I will probably have a green Easy-up tent, bring your chair and come on over.

My dog is 5 months old and will heel sit stay and come...will make some retrieves. Don't know if there is a class for this youngster or not?

Cf ought to chime in here... He's our started liaison and will be your contact and hook up. Bring your dog and yourself get with cf and if it looks like something you can do, he ll send ya back up to the table to sign up. Regardless if you run or not, you ll have a ball. If u go check out the other stakes as well. It'll lite da fires to say the least! See ya Saturday, I'll be the fat guy in camo can't miss me! Ha

Follow the link and look around on the website. There are a few links to the premium, that you will need to enter the test if you so choose.
