Re: Hunt test help
Testing a dog is a good way to keep your dog in shape and freshen up his skills through out the year, and I feel it makes them a better hunting companion. To register I think you can get the forms off of the UKC website, it will require some other documentation but I think its all explained on the forms. As far as a started title you have to have 20 UKC points, you get 5 points for every started test passed. You can go 4 for 20 and still get a started title as long as you pass 4 of them. Only 10 of those points carry over to the other stakes and count toward other titles though. Read up, train hard, and hope to see you at the line this fall...IF you wish to participate before you are fully registered you can still run a hunt test and then you have 60 days from completion to get your dog registered. If you want to pariticipate or just watch Southern Flight is holding an event in September at the Sardis Waterfowl refuge.
