He was the equivalent out of high school of what Trent Richardson or Joe McKnight were recently. Mississippi had the nation's #1 RB recruit a couple of times back then in Walker and a few years before, Brian Darden from Warren Central that ended up wasting away at UTenn and then Jackson State.
Both State and Ole Miss had some stud running backs in the 1990s. Deuce and Jon Avery were both first rounders if memory serves. As was James "J.J." Johnson for State. State also had Michael Davis and Kevin Bowie, who were both bad news.

Forget to mention Dou Innocent for Ole Miss too. He beat State by himself in 1995.

I saw Dontae tonight at a gas station - I swear, it looks like he ate Fat Albert, or at the very least, Al Roker before he had his stomach stapled.
