He was the equivalent out of high school of what Trent Richardson or Joe McKnight were recently. Both State and Ole Miss had some stud running backs in the 1990s. Deuce and Jon Avery were both first rounders if memory serves. As was James "J.J." Johnson for State. State also had Michael Davis and Kevin Bowie, who were both bad news.
