I heard that our fine Senator Mr. Thad Cochran was supporting this bill. Anyone else hear that? I think the report I heard said there were 20 republican
senators that support the UN gun ban treaty. I think it's time for these guys to go. I sure hope that a true patriot runs against Mr. Cochran.

Cochran and Wicker are supporting a Bill AGAINST the treaty... Could that have been what the report was referring to?

No. Heard on the radio that Thad Cochran was in support OF the UN treaty. He was not one of the 50 something senators that were opposed to it. Gallo
show was interviewing Wicker last week and said he didn't understand why Thad was supporting it. Also go an email that I'll paste below. I don't pass along chain emails because 99% of the time they are bogus, but it reminded me of the radio interview I heard last week. Thad Cochran needed to go a long time ago
but for some reason money always trumps. That is why no one will run against him. It's like when these guys get into office they have to die or retire before we can get a good person to take thier place.

Here is the email letter I got showing the 20 senators that were in favor of the UN treaty.

Notice on the list. Our Senator's name !!!!! Talk about exasperation potential!

if you look around you can see the DOTS TO BE CONNECTED and they are getting closer together each day.

The shooting in Denver - the NoLIMIT******, Trayvon Martin - the shootings in Chicago - all guns events intended to push people into thinking they should ban guns.... Fast & Furious -
Connect with the UN gun grabber rule (it is NOT AN AMERICAN LAW!!!!) and those in Congress who call themselves Republicans - if you return these stinking traitors to office you deserve the consequences for that deed. I shall stand against them and you!

From a WGEN reader:

The trash that we send to WDC have no honor,
laugh at the vow they take to defend the constitution,
and they think we are too stupid to know what traitors they are.

Those who vote for the gun ban and erase our 2nd amendment rights should be thrown out of office with extreme prejudice.

I was listening to radio on way to work and can't remember the guys name but he said if signed it would rip second amendment apart without any challenge. Something about international laws. Not sure just caught tale end of interview. Anybody know anything about being able to trump our own amendment.

Don't see how any International Law coudl trump our own laws, but no matter. If there is a "law" that says you have to turn in your guns of they will come confiscate them and take you to jail, will you be turning in your guns?.......I didn't think so, they will have to come "confiscate" them and at soem point the ones that are being referred to as "they" (Police) will have had enough because their own liberties are being trashed and stepped on as well, so there will not be as many of "them" willing to take you to jail for not giving up your guns. That is the start of the Revolution that will soon be descending upon this country. This may make it happen sooner then we think, but nonetheless, it is and will be happening.

I think that whoever sent that email may have 2 UN treaties mixed up. There is a treaty called Lost (law of the seas treaty) that had the potential support of 20 republican senators but I read it's dead for the year. I keep seeing that there is very little support for the Small Arms Treaty.

Then again, maybe not. According to the national media - we wouldn't consider signing the Small Arms treaty unless it was unanimous. Very interesting that Iran is one of the committee countries on this.

Either way, the UN is useless.

Maybe you're right....I know Trent Lott is now a lobbyist in some capacity for the Law of the Sea Treaty - and of course, when he was a senator he was against it. I guess getting paid as a lobbyist has a way of changing your beliefs.....we need some congressman that stick to what they think is right and what they're constituants believed they would fight for.....and we need term limits!

Exactly! WHEN it happens and the Gov. tries to take your guns, it will instantly turn into a situation where you as a person have to choose what side of this issue you are on, law be damned!! There will be far more that will not give up their guns than will, and if people without guns are trying to take our guns...well that don't make good sense to try!!

Glad to hear you will be on our side!

I swore to defend the Constitution against all enemies foreign and DOMESTIC. I also swore to obey the orders of the President, but if HE is the DOMESTIC enemy, my loyalty is with the Constitution as it should be.

I know there are a lot of US soldiers that would agree with you on this one, as well as a lot that are on the opposite side. I'm only 35 years old so I hope I have a few more years left to live on this earth before I go home to glory. My fear is, based on the current trend of our government and society, that before
I'm in my 50's-60's the country will have moved from the right of center nation to a left of center nation if not far left majorities. Our freedoms will be erroded
so bad that none of my generation will even recognize where we live anymore. At what point do the people serving in the armed forces say enough is enough?
At what point does the next "Civil War" start in this country? I think at the point we are today, it's almost going to take a civil war/revolution to take back our
country from the liberals that are trying to destroy it. Depressing to think about but it's just the fact of where we are.
