I just plane out pulled a vickers and am here making hay while the sun is shinning even though its wet in the "hay" fields. And hunter, we lived together too much in college to be bringin out the fat girl jokes

shot these last saturday and sunday. 3 tornadoes in 2 days. Didnt hear a single gobble on the roost. Was tough hunting.

We finally caught the weather right out there and it was by far the best turkey hunt I have ever had and will be quite hard to beat.
We had a heck of a day Saturday killing 10 birds.
Josh and I tagged out with 3 each. Gordon and his dad killed 2 each. Chris killed one and his dad came home empty handed.
Josh and I had 3 double opportunities, and only capitalized on one of them, but it was the highlight of our trip. Our guide, Monty, said he only heard one shot, and he was 10 yards behind us.
8 hens, 2 of which were bearded hens, and 2 long beards came in as close as I have ever had birds. Josh could have poked one hen with his gun barrel as she putted and looked us up one side and down the other. 2 birds down at 15 yards by 730 Saturday.
We moved to another property and split up to cover more ground. We sat up and did some cold calling and in 10 minutes, had a bird hot on a string. He came in running, crossed a ditch, jumped a log, and climbed the hill behind us. I had to move 10 yards to a log. When he popped his head over the hill he was at 12 yards. I was tagged out at 1030.
Gordon and his dad tripled on what was described as the most amazing hunt of the weekend. 3 long beards one one side of them at 60 - 80 yards, and 6 or 8 jakes behind them got into a gobbling battle that lasted 2 hours. The long beards finally had enough and went to fight only to find 2 guns between them and their intended foes.
A lot of dead birds at camp. 15 for the weekend.
