Because of my speed in the tight spot I was not able to turn in time to miss a cypress tree. The boat hit the tree and flipped over. I was thrown out of boat and my buddy and dog were trapped under boat. My buddy was able to swim out and grab a tree. I keep my waders half on so was able rip them off. Once I realized my buddy was ok we screamed for help and God sent us his guardian angles. My dog was still under boat and wasn't leaving her. I was able to swim under and pull her out. A lot of you will think it's just a dog but she is my life. The guys who came to our rescue pulled out and took us to land. We were lucky water was 10ft plus. God was with us. The throttle cable never showed any type of trouble and was even working right before this. I had been slowing up and down riding in. Alot of you may say well I could of done this or that. But let me tell you it happened in a split second and we were swimming. Hope this story opens some eyes and realize how important being safe is. We were Not wearing life jackets. It was a miracle we were not knocked out. Once again thank you heroes. I am writting this because of your quick actions.
