I agree with DM. This is just the thing that will give all the groups like th ASPCA and PETA the ammunition to KILL the sport we TRUE sportmen love and cherish. What happened to just getting out and finding the ducks and harvesting them the right way? The media has made this sport into the "cool" thing to do, and a bunch of bloodsuckers like your neighbor figures he can make $$$ off a true southern tradition. I remember the days when my papaw and dad and I would go out and find the birds and hunt. It didnt matter that we would kill just 3 or 4 or 3 limits. It was time well spent in the blind with fellow sportsmen and family, and most important; enjoying GODS creations. This just makes me sick to know that our pastime has been twisted into a freak show that you just pay your money and start shooting! The media and the good ole dollar bill has raped us of our passion for waterfowl.

Well they have this place call Argentina where the do something like this. Granted it is a different mindset but it is $with shooting mixed in.

Last time I checked this aint Argentina.

his goal is not commercialized hunting. his goal is to increase the duck population in the ms delta. he believes that the northern states are high jacking the ducks with freeze proof areas that stop the main flight to our area. this man has created 3 green tree reservoirs at great personal expenses over the last 5 years. he has flown out over a ton of millet already this year.many of these ducks will be moved to his personal reserve not to be shot but monitored. he does intend to eventually make a profit to help offset expenses but thus far he has sunk more money into improving the duck habitats in the delta than he has taken out. the man does not even hunt himself. he enjoys working in the outdoors and creating duck habitats. the critics might want to hold judgment for a couple of years and see if something positive may happen.

i would like to see another poll. i will try it after this. are you satisfied with the direction that our delta duck population is headed. are u seeing as many ducks as you did 25 years ago. do you think that is because of natural causes or man made.

PS - he is not so naive as to think he can change things on his own. he is attempting to find a blue print that can be replicated by those land owners who love nature and are willing to put their money where their mouth is. he is a photographer, not hunter. ducks by the hundreds of thousands in our area is his dream, just like the 60's and 70's. lighten up
