Re: Pass Taylor arrested
Hell its like that everywhere now. The police chief, mayor, and a few others were on the take here in town, I had to listen to the prosecutor say he was going to stick it to them multiple times. All of them got 5 years probabtion and records will be cleared at that time if they dont violate the probation. The freakin system sucks. You spend the time an effort to catch this ring of crooks and nothing. It makes me sick.

What are y'all complaining about? That the man didn't get enough penalization?
Sound familiar?

Re: Pass Taylor arrested
Not really complaining, just merely pointing out that this turned into much ado about nothing. A year and a half of undercover work grosses charges that carry 20+ yrs of prison and 1.2 mil in fines, but only nets 18 months probation, 10k in fines, and a 5 yr moratorium on nwr. They could've found enough on a one weekend hunt to accomplish that. Somebody got hosed in this deal, and it wasn't mr. taylor.Caller1 wrote:What are y'all complaining about? Re: Pass Taylor arrested
I realize we are kicking the dead horse an I'm not pointing fingers really don't care just a few thoughts.
If I am guided on to a refuge is it not my responibility to know where I am at or to know that I am being guided on state property and the regs against that? I wonder does 10k even cover the cost of the investigation?

The DA knows them all and is probably related to some extent and don't forget the jurors who also know them and are probably related. Based on that he probably thought the pleam was the easiest to win.Faithful Retrievers wrote:Hell its like that everywhere now. Re: Pass Taylor arrested
Aside from the conspiracy theories, govt waste, and the results....does any of it matter. I doubt it. It's just another case of violators running over the law and law abiding citizens as usual. An old guy who from what has been said has money and has been a violator for a long time. He will be right back to his old tricks if the option presents itself. Folks like him get the rush not from the successful hunt, but from the illegal aspects of their hunt.
