The owner of the dogs y'all trapped are pissed! They have contacted the ASPCA, PETA, Dept. of Interior/USF&WS and MDWFP about this operation. I'm not sure that the state or feds will get directly involved but if good homes are not found for these ducks y'all can expect a huge protest from PETA and ASPCA on the Friday after Thanksgiving. It is certainly not going to play well to the rest of the world when the news crews show up to document the slaughter of innocent tame ducks for the amusement of a bunch of retarded rednecks. This kind of chit gives ALL true hunters and outdoorsman a bad rap and paints all of us in a bad light regardless if we agree with this or not. This is one time that I would personally side with the activists.

If there was some way to get wild hatchlings and raise them on your place without them becoming tame that really wouldn't be such a bad idea. Like what's his nuts said if the state were able to contribute 40-50k a year in new waterfowl then that sure would be nice come winter.

The game of duck hunting is changing an maybe we need to think outside the box. Not so far outside the box that you feed them infront of your blind but some type of MS Hatchery kinda thing.

people who have done this in the past have leased by the blind. that is not my neighbors intention. he is leasing by the break or hole. the only way the hunter will be assured of seeing one of these ducks is if these ducks fly to the spot he hunts that day. once the birds receive fire they will most likely leave that area and go on down the break. he is hoping for a significant # to survive the season and migrate north only to return the following year, possibly bringing some other ducks along..

4 week old ducks stand a fighting chance in a natural break. ducklings do not.

he was told that he should expect a 85% survival rate. he has lost less than 2 % to date. the ducks cost $4.50 (he only paid for 3,000) each plus mileage from close to the Canadian border. he was told that the key is to buy high quality ducks from reputable people. have the ducks delivered early in the morning so the long hot drive is mostly at night. also use high quality feed.

As I posted earlier you and yours are heaping a bunch of chit on the true sportsman of this state by trying to $$$ profit off the sick sadistic barbaric chit. You are only making the true sportman of MS look like a bunch of mindless retards in the eyes of the non hunters that may not care one way or the other. What y'all are rying to do paints all of us in a bad light. If y'all are bound and determined to $$$$ charge $$$$ for murdering a bunch of pet ducks at least save some face and let some of the deltas unfortunate hunt some. There is not enough being done to help the many underpriviledge children of parents that are blind, quadriplegic hemophiliacs. If y'all will consider putting $$$ aside to help needy people in the delta put groceries on the table you might be able to turn public perception in your favor.....if not y'all are focked!!!! ASPCA, PETA and the liberal news media is going to have a focking field day with this chit!
