Then again, that source is part of the ign'ant "lunatic fringe, tinfoil hat brigade," so take it fwiw.
My reliable source is "the actual documents of this case", and they don't support that claim at all at this point...in fact i'd bet a lot of people that were never thought to be drug into this just lawyer'd up, and they should.

The lunatic fringe are "@#$%#" retards (Steve Robertson being ace boogey #1) and need to just shut up and realize this is going to get ugly, and not just for Hugh Freeze and OM football.
He has been spot on with everything he has said from the beginning, unlike Freeze and Bjork who publically lied about what was in the first NOA.

From the OMU viewpoint, I can see the hate for Robertson. I can.

But any impartial scorekeeper would recall that when MSU was in trouble during the Jackie Sherrill days, every newspaper in MS had a writer doing what Robertson is doing now. And at that time OMU had boosters hiring private investigators and their wives were sleeping with NCAA investigators -- well, one that is known. Yes, it's true.

Just a little perspective to keep in mind, when you decry the enthusiasm of a mere fan site reporter like Robertson.

Maybe Steve Robertson will pay their legal fees in the long run....

More than likely the NCAA will end up paying their legal fees. Is that an impermissible benefit?

Will every judge that has ties to Ole Miss have to recuse themselves from this case?

Now THAT is what I call exemplary cooperation

Take it to court. Just when I thought they couldn't possibly be any dumber.

Is this "going nuclear?" Lol. I can't wait for the next "tactic."

Kidding aside, this is really sad. What about accountability. You got caught. Pay the piper and move on. Shameful, really. Glad I'm not giving tax money to MS to support this circus.

They'll most likely pay for the fees using the Opportunity Fund.

This is grandstanding. More scat sliding down a powder blue wall.

so how is this statement going to hold up if real law and investigation gets involved and it's found most of this $#!+ can't be proven and in fact are lies being upheld that cost people their jobs and revenue that accounts to real dollars??? What happens then? NCAA has zero accountability, but court of law does, where things like cross examination are in play to ENSURE accuracy in allegations....when people start having their livelihoods taken and the families affected, $#!+ player testimonies are going to be called into question. I said it earlier and you thought it was funny, Hugh Freeze and OM Football aren't the only people going to suffer for all of this, it's going to get UGLY.

there is also NO TAX money involved in a private lawsuit for defamation...get you facts in order....your whole post is $#!+ slung against a wall.

Ole Miss has already paid dearly for the stuff and admitted to....they are currently "paying the piper" as you put it, and prob will be for years in the aftermath regardless of what else might be handed down...

we'll see what happens with the rest....

Respectfully, if UOM wasn't supportive of this lawsuit, it wouldn't have come forward. I don't care who filed it. Yes, I know it was a private entity.

You really don't think this guy gave out free gear?

Solid rant. I'm genuinely sorry if you feel I'm being personally disrespectful to you. That's not my intent.

If they win this suit, I'll be here to eat my crow.

But there will be no suit.
