SEC Baseball 2013

Well we are a week away from the first weekend series kicking off. Not sure we know much more since the beginning of the season. The SEC West is loaded top to bottom for sure and it is really going to be a battle every weekend out. Dogs vs LSU this weekend should start to answer a few questions. Hoping to see 2 of the 3 games, but may just be one. Ole Miss seems very gritty finding different ways to win ballgames everyday. The Memphis loss was very uncharacteristic of the Rebels defense much like Saturdays loss for MSU was not the normal for their pitching (9 BB and 6 HBP). Expectations are high. Bama seems to be playing very well with some young players. Arkansas will be tough. LSU has a core group that will keep them among the elite teams. Next 2 1/2 months should be a lot of fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

MSU vs USM tomorrow night.....Dogs need to do well and regain that confidence before Tigers come to town on Friday.

rebs play at arky this weekend. not sure what to expect this weekend out of the series as far as w-l. this will be tough. winning on the road is always tough in the SEC and even tougher on the road. They are pretty good this year, i'm anxious to tune in and see how it goes

gonna be a tough road ahead but i like the way we are playing. enough of this basketball nonsense, come one sec baseball!

Bold Predictions:

(1) If MSU stays healthy, they will be one of the last four teams standing in the country at year's end;
(2) The SEC will have 3 teams in Omaha; and
(3) None of those SEC teams will win the title.

I predict the winner of the West will only be a few games over .500 in conference play..........20-10 best case, probably more like 18-12.
There will also be a log jam of team that are 14-16, 15-15, or 16-14
