There just aren't words that say enough about June 6, 1944.

My grandfather was in the second wave of soldiers to land on Omaha beach. He spent 24 hours in the water before he could make it to and across the beach. He was the only man from his platoon to survive.

Where is the buzz and emphasis we used to put on remembering this day?

My humble thanks to all our fighting men and women, then and now.

I agree completely. Just reading the articles and looking at pictures puts a hole in my gut and gives me a sense of awe. Those men were 17-21 years old. Amazing. We truly can't appreciate that kind of sacrifice.

By far one of the most amazing events in history and it is just "another day". If there was ever a need for a day to remember, this is it. I cannot imagine the feeling of riding in those boats and having the bullets just rattling on the front door. What was done that day was the closet thing to "biblical" I have ever heard of. I salute all that have ever served and their families for the ultimate sacrifice.

what has happened to rememberance of this day is that media and government do not want the people to remember the courage and patriotism it took for that day to happen!!! they do not want people to have heros to look up to, they do not want us too look any farther than government for help, they do not want us to read about the tree of liberty needing be refreshed, or that fear of government is the death of Liberty!!! those young men that fought in Europe, and the Pacific to regain and preserve free society and liberty there, so we wouldn't lose it here, knew what they were fighting for.

the founding fathers of this country knew then what would happen if there was not a frequent reminder to our men in washington that the citizen had a determination of resistance to big government. Several founders of this nation thought that if we went more than 20 yrs without a rebellion agaist our own leaders we would fail

i firmly believe that a Christian man should be bold in his faith and take the dishing recieved in the name of his Faith, but as an American I firmly believe that our Nations Leaders need to be reminded that we own them, they should be afraid of us, not us of them!! they are there not to give everyone what they want, but to uphold the Constitution and protect our Nation, when they fail that obligation, We the People Have an Obligation to stand and remove them from Office either by call of special election, or by force!!!

the morals of this Nation are down the tubes, there are more takers than Givers, our government is out of control and gridlocked in such a manner they cannot see the good from the bad, the patriots of this nation need a leader to stand and direct the charge before America Becomes another Germany, Russia, China, Etc etc etc, because the road we are now on is the same rd with the same sign as all that fell before us.


Guys sorry for the Rant, move it if need be and come visit me when big brother comes and gets me and hauls me to the concetration camp
