Fathers Learn from my Mistake [MUST READ]
Re: Fathers Learn from my Mistake [MUST READ]
Glad it wasn't worse. Thanks for sharing, it will make all of us more careful in the way we do things with our children.

Guys that is the reason I posted this. I don't want anyone to experience it. I am a stickler when it comes to my saftey harness and using my climber and loc-ons. I have put loc-ons in some crazy places, I even have one that my hunting partners father named suicide stand when I first hung it (it has been modified since then). I have never used the harness for lean up stands though. From now on me and my little ones will be attached from the time we leave the ground.

It is two days into the season and I have already read about 3 falls. It aint worth it, wear a safety harness, even in a lean-to.

Glad to know he's gonna be ok. I could only imagine your horror...sorry this happened to your son.
It's better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it.
