Very glad that your son will be ok!
I am interested in purchasing duck calls that were made by Mike McLemore. I am a family member and they have a sentimental value.

As a father of 3 boys, age 5, 3,& 1, that is terrorizing to read. I took my boys up to the camp this afternoon to ride four wheelers and we almost had a serious run in with a cottonmouth. Be careful out there with your little ones...

I have been close to your shoes and I can tell you it wasn't and still isn't easy on me considering what the consequences should have been. I'm glad your little man is ok!

I took my 4 yr old fishing last yr as we were absolutely burning the crappie up on the boat slips at the Rez. Thankfully on this certain day, I had invited Adam Black/Matador and his children along to fish with us. My son fell in and I was no where near him nor did I see him fall in the water that was about 4 feet deep. Thankfully Adam did and jumped in to save him or he would have drowned. I cry at just the thought and thank God for Adam being there to save him. Things happen fast and sometimes we don't think about these things. God bless and thanks for sharing! It will keep you up for a few years thinking about it and will make you hug and kiss that little fellow at just the thought of what should have happened.

Thanks for posting and thank God he is ok! That story will have me thinking more clearly about the dangers that are around when taking my kids outdoors.

Also, everyone please be careful about letting your kids ride these bigger atv's. These side by sides, golf carts and huge 4 wheelers are much faster and heavier than what we rode 20+ years ago. I grew up riding a suzuki 125. Now small children are riding atv's that go 60 miles per hour and weigh close to 1,000 pounds. The vampire type tires will catch and flip you in a heartbeat. Very dangerous.

+1000 on these ATVs and kids. I laid under a Big Red 3-wheeler in a 10ft deep dredge ditch for around 8 hours when I was 16. Lasting injuries to say the least. My fault all the way. I was a strong kid who grew up riding things on the farm. Amazing what I see kids doing these days on much larger/faster machines with very little experience. I often see these ATVs used a babysitters. Have a kid who is 16 and feel much safer when he drives a truck to town to eat pizza or watch a movie than I do when he is riding an ATV.

Sorry for the post going a different direction but we cannot talk about safety and kids outdoors without stressing the problem out there with kids on ATVs.
Are we gonna get wet?

I read that with my 17 month old in my Lap. Things can change so fast.

I'm so glad your boy is okay and doing better!
