Gobbling or not, in my commute through Tombigbee and Noxubee, it was a beautiful day to be down in the cool, wet spring woods. Working in the woods is nice on a morning like this, while at the same it is torture.

We spent most of Saturday morning hunting what we figured was a pair of loud gobblers. Finally, after a last ditch move, we got in front of them...and they turned out to be 11 jakes. I had the Boss Jake gobbling at 15 steps and you would swear he was a 12-inch bearded, full-fanned six year old!
