Hopefully Henderson's 15 minutes of Fame is now over. The kid can shoot the light's out - especially when he has a good look. Problem is he continues to throw up the playground trash shots - at least he had the BIGS down low to clean up his trash. If he were to get assists for that, he would lead the country.

I thought UM was the obvious better team on the floor last night. So many times you thought after getting ahead by 4 or 5 points they were ready to pull away. Why did the Rebels not call TO after LaSalle made the shot??? Were they out of timeouts? Still had 2.5 seconds to work with.
Are we gonna get wet?

Respectfully, I personally feel that is a poor comparison, but I am not surprised to see it made here. Sidney was loathed by 75% of the fanbase before that and 99% after. It blows my mind to see people like you defend someone like Henderson.

Poor comparison, though not one I'm surprised you'd make. Sidney was loathed by 75% of the fanbase before that and 99% after. You guys take up for this semi-athletic crackhead Henderson like he is a member of your youth group. It blows my mind.
yeah poor compaison, cuz sidney sucked on the floor and played with no effort 90% of the time to go with it. minus a game of fame against the reb's he was an idiot on and off the court and never brought much to the table.

Get you about 3 more of those SEC Tournament Championships, 10 more SEC regular season championships, two more Sweet 16's, and a Final Four Appearance and holler back at me. Good season though, Bears.
you wanna talk about how awesome you were in basketball many moons ago, the same can be said for football with the rebs as well. but i'm sure you have been one of the ones in the past cryin when someone starts talking about the past and how what was done back then doesn't matter now?

you prob should be worried about sending some money in to help pay some of your cruit's for the upcoming year so maybe the fighting ray ray's can have a chance to sniff the nit next year. on a side note i like that white kid for state. i think he is a walkon and got substantial playing time towards the end of the season; hope he doesn't loose his spot as ray starts to add some depth.

TIA

He's out of eligibility with NCAA cause of the transfer to and from South Carolina. He might should try to play football somehow, but it won't be in the NCAA.

Danny Parkins @DannyParkins

I asked Marshall Henderson why he flipped off the crowd: "someone yelled that my sister is a whore and said something about cocaine."

Hey, y'all lived off past success for so long, figured it was okay. Most of y'all didnt even know Mississippi had a basketball program until about nine days ago. When State was good, (very recently, I might add) y'all only cared about football. Heard that many, many times.

What's funny is y'all clowns throw out a past reference regarding a player whom most of us hated and how he embarrassed us all, only to have that slimeball Henderson flip off the crowd after the game last night! Haha!

Im going to toss this out there, as many MSU fans are pointing out the same thing. If Henderson played for MSU there would be no end to the "Keep it classy" type comments floating around. Heck, MSU fans can barely celebrate a win without being called something in the "Ole Miss considers us classless category". I guess thats part of the hypocracy of the Ole Miss nation. I never want to hear an Ole Miss fan speak about how heads and tails above the rest of the world they are in classiness. The University has allowed him to run his mouth, along with other antics, all year long and look where he got you. I guess when you're winning, the administration will turn a blind eye to it...especially when the fan base is relishing it. You can take the "pro ball players talk trash argument out of the equasion as well". Henderson is a student at a university that represents not only that school, but the state of Mississippi as well....I guess he #wontheday. Ya'll should be proud.

Another interesting take. I had not heard about this bar trip. Sounds eerily similar...

http://espn.go.com/mens-college-basketb ... tournament
3. Marshall Henderson -- not coach Andy Kennedy -- is running the show at Ole Miss. Seriously, do the Rebels have any rules for their shooting guard? Last week, Henderson called other SEC coaches "losers." He trash-talks opposing fans; he flipped off the crowd at the Sprint Center after Ole Miss' loss to La Salle on Sunday; and he has to have an "escort" sit with him during interviews to make sure he doesn't mouth off. A lot of good that's doing. Kennedy, though, hardly seems bothered. On Friday, just hours after Ole Miss defeated Wisconsin, Henderson was photographed at a sports bar across the street from the arena. The pictures spread like wildfire on Twitter. There were 31 other teams that won round-of-64 games. How many of their players were photographed in similar situations? When asked about Henderson's postgame activities, Kennedy noted that Henderson was 22 years old and said he didn't make the player "recite his ABCs backwards" when he returned to the hotel, also noting that Henderson was attentive in a 10 p.m. meeting. The comment made Kennedy look foolish. Other coaches and administrators in Kansas City were laughing at him behind his back. Henderson (who averaged 20.1 points per game) might have saved Kennedy's job, but he's damaging his reputation.
