turkey eve....

Postby H20 Fowl » Thu Mar 14, 2013 6:25 am

Hope everyone has a safe and fun season! Today is to me what Christmas eve was to me as a child. The butterflies have already started! Good luck to everyone tomorrow, and the rest of the season.......

Dear Lord, We thank you for the opportunity that you have blessed us with-to spend time in Your awesome and beautiful creation. We thank you that You, our Creator, allow us to have the joy of not only spending time doing the things that we love, but also allow us to reflect and think of the Majesty and the Beauty of who You are.

We pray for everyone to have safe and enjoyable hunts; that everyone is kept from harm's way. We pray that if danger of any kind arises, that a hedge of protection goes up around us. That we may be held in Your arms, safe from whatever peril may be in front of us.

We pray that we are thankful for the times that we have while hunting, no matter if we harvest a monster gobbler, or just get to spend time with our family and friends in the field. Thank you for the joy of one another and the experiences that we have as turkey hunters.

But, Lord, thank You most of all for Your Son, who died and shed His precious blood for our sins at Calvary. For we know that without Him, we are not who we are. Thank you for dying for a lowly sinner, like me.

Lord, we give you the Glory and the Praise and thank You for all that You are and for all that You do,

In the name that is above every other name, The Name of Jesus we pray.

Amen.

How about "the Losers." It had a nice ring to it.

Had a baby Tuesday, but I plan on being there in the morning.

Anyone got an extra dog house I can sleep in?

You are going to be the best role model come bow season. I can see it now- "But baby, Alec went hunting the same WEEK they had their boy. It's been two for us now!"

Congrats again man.

Amen to that. I would like to also add in a prayer for some birds to show up because it is looking like we may not have any this year.

I agree Ted. It starts about 5:15 for me I have to work on getting out of the house with out waking the wife or kids. It's a tough job to go turkey hunting but it pays good.
