Airless tires for ATV

Postby duramax » Thu Mar 07, 2013 8:36 am

I know these have been talked about and shown for a while now, but this recent article got me thinking about these.

They are certainly a cool idea. I've seen concept tires like these on Hummers and stuff. The major flaw I see for ATV use, or at least for me and 90% of the other folks on here, is how with these tires do when they are in the thickest, stickiest mud? Those things will fill up with 50lbs of mud and would certainly damage your ATV when it's trying to turn the tires with that much resistance.

they could put webbing between the open areas...this wouldn't add much weight and it would still keep mud and debris from "filling" up the open spaces.
I have invented several items in my career of deep thought....only problem is everything I invent comes out the next year. I think someone has tapped my brain and uses all my info.

I'm sure they'll just cover it. The open look is probably mostly to display the honeycomb insides.
