bedliner sprayed in boats

Postby Monte64us » Thu Feb 28, 2013 3:50 pm

Anybody had their boats sprayed with a commercial grade bedliner? Advantages? Disadvantages? Entire interior or just the "flat spots". Looking for suggestions. Got lucky and was drawn for a free liner this past weekend at VBurg's Wildlife Extravaganza.

I was either doing the boat or the inside of the jeep if I won. Congrats on the bedliner. We were setup directly across from them.

Sprayed on the outside bottom caused a drag on my boat. Pulling in and out of water was different. I sprayed one on the inside and it was better. It was good on sound deadning when I dropped shells in the boat. It does add weight and of course stops leaks. I thought having it dont in green or something but black was fine once it was muddy it was perfect.

From Thorne's? Randy and Lisa are good people. I've got a friend that had the whole interior of his boat sprayed and he really likes it.

my last boat before my current one had spray in bedliner. i fished out of my boat more than i hunted out of it at the time. It was non skid, which was nice, because it had minimal slippery surface when wet. but all in all, i wouldn't do it again. it was really hot in the summer time, to the point you best not step barefoot on it. Cool idea but for me and my situation, wasn't worth the trouble.

just my 2 cents

for exmaple you could kill a 4 greenheads (two banded), a mallard/black cross, and a mallard/gaddy cross and smash a hot blonde on the way back to the ramp and call it a hell of a day
and THAT is a duck hunt.

Long time ago when spray in bed liners were just getting started the GW's at Elvis Presley Lake in Tupelo had it in their boats. Even sitting out in the hot July sun all day it wasn't hot to the touch just a little warm. We sat on the bow of it watching a wakeboard tournament for a little while. It was cool enough for that. Maybe different liners act differently. I would ask first.

We have liners in just about all of our Lynn boats. Don't get black and don't put it on the gunwales.
