Re: UPDATE: I don't usually ask for anything
UPDATE:
Well, it's a cancer (soft tissue sarcoma of sorts)... The Oncology Vet said that the safest and standard protocol for this kind of issue is "amputation" followed up with 5 treatments of chemo. Duece is tough and I know he will adjust to the handicap. But, like most of ya'll, my dogs are my children and buddies. I treat them as such and my eyes tear up everytime and look at Deuce, knowing what he is about to go through and be forever changed... Thanks for the prayers everyone. We are not out of the caca yet, so, keep ol' Deuce in mind when you say your prayers at night. Surgery is scheduled for Friday 25 Jan. and he's going to have a long road ahead of him...

Prayers sent for the Deuce man.
Re: UPDATE: I don't usually ask for anything
Hang in there, Mark. It's always tough to know it won't be the same, but you know you're taking care of him.......he'll know it, too - that's the cool part. They just know. His tail will show you he's glad to be with you no matter the circumstances. That's what's so awesome about these animals.....unconditional!
Thanks for the update - you'll be in our thoughts.

Every three legged dog I've ever met seemed happier than his 4 legged friends. Hang In there and I hope they get it all.

Re: UPDATE Feb 18: I don't usually ask for anything
UPDATE:
Well, we did schedule the surgery back in Jan as previously posted but posponed it to have more tests ran to make absolutely sure it was cancer that required amputation... Long story short; Deuce is at the Vet office tonight and having the amputation procedure in the morning... I'm so friggen tore up about it tonight that I'm beside myself... I'm worried as hell bout my buddy. Continue to say a prayer for him guys. He is definately needing them right now... Thanks!

You got it man! Let us know when all is well tomorrow!
I am interested in purchasing duck calls that were made by Mike McLemore. I am a family member and they have a sentimental value.

Sent, I am still fresh with experience on losing my buddy. It's tuff as hell; I hope your pal pulls through like a champ.
