With a 4 and a 1 - is there such a thing as a quiet getaway?
Son, be sure to check the oil. The gas will take care of itself. George Carter - Circa 1965

Smith Lake in North Alabama. Very peaceful and quiet. Rent a house and relax.

for exmaple you could kill a 4 greenheads (two banded), a mallard/black cross, and a mallard/gaddy cross and smash a hot blonde on the way back to the ramp and call it a hell of a day

Make no mistake about it...I had to go in secrecy for my protection and reputation...twice, but I cannot deny a god time. Those who needed to know, were informed and gave me grief. I did look over my shoulder constantly for a short bearded gnome named Jerry.

If the weather is nice this weekend you might check out the memphis zoo. I actually prefer this time of year since it seems to keep the memphis wildlife at home and the animals are more active. It would be a good get away without breaking the bank also. They have a log cabin on the back side of the zoo that has gas logs to get warmed up, also a few concessions outside that sells elephant ears, funnel cakes, etc that they fixed on the spot. Seems I remember my kids really enjoyed that as a snack and kept us from eating in the burger place with the rest of masses. Nothing like trying to eat your lunch with the main public bathroom within 50 ft
If you do go, use the cabin as your main rest stop.
Stay in the South Haven area around the hospitals, courtyard, fairfield, etc are a few hotels to chose from and there is the normal franchise eats within a block or two. Plenty of places to choose from if you do not want to eat in the down town area at dark.
