Re: trophy/man rooms?
Today was my first encounter with this thread... fantastic.
The old pictures from the 70's are wonderful. It reminds me of shooting Cypress Grove Lake near Rodney back in the 70's.
God's good..... all the time.

Re: trophy/man rooms?
I might as well admit I have neglected my insurance work today just to read this thread. A hunting buddy of mine / fellow board member told me about it this morning. I cant say I wasted all day, because I definately didnt waste it but I will say it was worth the read but took a while. Thanks to all those who have contributed and I know our paths will cross weather in this life or the next, the love for the outdoors seems to go hand in hand with knowing the creator! Funny how that works.

Re: trophy/man rooms?
Here is a table in my living room with some older waterfowl stuff from my family. My grandad lived in Greenwood and I think he owned a auto and tractor parts stores for a while during 60's and 70's. I never met him and really don't ask many questions. My oldest STP is a 43 federal. I have most stamps from the late 50's through 80's in here. Many are unsigned as well as a whole lot signed by people who lived around Greenwood at this time. Several of the calls were made by people from around Greenwood. I can't ever remember the names but if I remember correctly my dad said some of the stamps are signed by people who made the calls. I have a whole lot more stamps in a ziplock bag
This quarter has my calls as well as 10yo daughter and 6yo sons calls. A couple recent band certicifates I have more certs that I will add as I find them

Few paper shells and some older lead 6's. Some more calls and a few ribbons from my dog.

Few duck calls along with my waterfowl journal and some metal reeds for a couple of my older calls handed down

Bands from my dad and my granddad. Even have a robin band in there from where my dad says he found it as a kid

Here is the table as a whole

FYI, Maynard Reece that painted the 1959 King Buck Federal stamp, which is the one and only Federal Stamp with a dog featured, is coming out of retirement ot do next years Arkansas Duck Stamp. He is 92 and the painting is already done and in the hands of the publisher. I met Maynard many years ago when I delivered a bird mount to him in Little Rock.
Nilo Farms owned by Winchester used his design for their hat pins as King Buck was from there and owned by John Olin. This one I have was given to me by Dr. Andrews and belonged to Nash Buckingham.

Re: trophy/man rooms?
Pat I'd love to hear the stories that ole hat pin could tell.
I am interested in purchasing duck calls that were made by Mike McLemore. I am a family member and they have a sentimental value.
Re: trophy/man rooms?
Very cool Pat. I'll bet that little pin has a TON of history behind it.

Just wanted to bump in the hopes of a new story. Good stuff

The hat has been with me since 1971 when Dr. Chub gave me the pin. It has traveled the world with me. You can never erase memories!
