I wish someone had mentioned the photo on the app can just be any old photo printed on your computer at home and not a $10 passport photo (and all the pain in the ass that entails)

I did mention it in one of these post. Do not waste your money and your time for a passport photo. We took our photo on a white backdrop and printed them out. I saw people who took their photo with their phone and printed them out on copy paper.

Hell naw! They had to take it twice because they said I looked "too mean". Then they did the same thing at DMV. I accused the lady of just wanting a pic for herself. She just giggled and told me how beautiful I was....then shooed me on my way. If tonight goes alright, I might have my permit in the am.

Once you get that permit (is that what crabs are called these days?), it sticks with you for life!!!!

Anybody on here been to get one in Starkville? Gonna go next week and was wondering if I needed to camp out in order to get through the line without burning up a day off work.

I was there @ 7:30 and was #10 by the time the door opened. I was out by about 9ish. You definitely want to be a little early. Seems like that group had their sh !t together. The later people seemed to have questions, or their DL was expired, or the addresses didn't match etc. And even though it wasn't their turn, the felt that they didn't want to waste the time so they would go bother the lady with stupid $#!+ while she was trying to process someone's form (with an earlier #).

That's good. When I applied for mine, the dipstick running the fingerprint machine broke it. Took like 2 hours to get that fixed.

New Albany is doing 3 days a week now (Tues, Wed, Thurs). May be worth somebody to drive a little farther for a shorter line.

The photo that must be attached to the application, does it have to be passport sized? The application does not specify photo size.

approximately 2x2, shoulders up. Nobody is breaking out a ruler on it, but there is a square in the corner of the app it should fit in unless they have changed the app.
There will be a day....

Thanks. I saw the square and that is what made me ask. The part that tells you to attach a photo gives no reference to dimensions, only 5 other specs that the photo must meet.
