Up and down season.

Postby Click » Mon Jan 28, 2013 9:08 pm

I was looking at Champ's post earlier and started thinking about my season. The last two weeks were tough and I was ready to let these two weeks define my season until I started going thru my pics from this years hunts. After going thru the pics I have to say it wasnt a bad season at all. I did have two bad experiences which I captured with pics that you will see below. The first pic is from the day before my first hunt of the season. I went to Outlaws in Greenwood and they were out of facepaint. I was certain this was not a good omen.

Even though I wasnt able to use face paint on my first hunt I soldiered on and went anyway. This is what happened when I pulled the trigger on my first mallard of the year.

I was pretty dejected after my first hunt. After all I had to hunt without face paint and after my barrell exploded I couldnt feel my left hand for several hours. The poor fella hunting with me had some shrapnel embedded into his wrist but this post isnt about his season. Well, the next hunt got better in a big way.

Your season was way better than the season some people had. I myself only killed 5 birds all season.

For some reason some of the pics are sideways. I have no clue how to fix them. If you know how please let me know and I will correct them.

I am not complaining at all. I was very fortunate to have the hunts I did.
