I saw these a the ATA show and thought the same as everyone else. The lethality of a firearm with no forensic evidence. I guess you would have an arrow but no way to prove what bow or crossbow it came from. I can imagine this is going to be a slippery slope. Although I think it is cool, I can see some legality issues coming in the near future.

I don't see how this would be any more efficient than just an arrow. A bullet without a barrel is just an uncontrolled exploding projectile. All the force from the explosion will go into the arrow instead of the bullet. I'd like to see which penetrates more into a block of gellitine, a standard arrow and broadhead or this gizmo? As far as the concerns about people using them to "kill without a trace". That option is already available with modern archery equipment. I can't imagine anybody going through the trouble of killing someone with a bow, only to shatter the silence with a loud bang.
