we killed right at 2000 ducks and 500 geese. Almost 600 mallards. Little over 300 specks.

I think we were 600 birds less than last year. These are my numbers. Patrick may have the exact # count.

we were in a lease for our first year and totaled right at 250 birds I believe, some of our group was there every weekend of the season with a few midweek hunts scattered around Christmas and New Years.

Adding to Digger's post. Hunted 21 days in MS. 339 killed total by groups I hunted with. 201 mallards. Little over 16 birds per hunt average. Killed my first 4 mallard limit in 4 shots on one hunt. 2 days hunting in Arkansas yielded 2 specks, 6 ducks. Total of 23 days afield, 345 ducks and 2 geese. I will settle for the same again except for Arkansas. Went on a terrible week.

If every season was as awful as this one I'd have never become addicted.... 19 birds in 14 hunts.. 9 of which were skunks :x I don't have any desire to know how much each bird cost me and hope this past season will always remain my worst.

I haven't seen the totals for this year, but that's about right. Yeah we were down about 600 from last year, but just 200 below average. Just one of those years.

Saw 403 birds give it up this year, hunted 27 days. Cowboy picked up 317 ducks and 73 geese. First half of the season was good, 2 weeks after Christmas sucked donkey balls, the last 8 days were phenomenal... killed 4 man limits 5 out of 8 days with the lowest number for the week being 15. First bird I shot on that 8 day stretch was a band... set it off right. Also had 3 good flat shoots on snows over the last 4 days of the season. Strongest closing week that I can remember.

for exmaple you could kill a 4 greenheads (two banded), a mallard/black cross, and a mallard/gaddy cross and smash a hot blonde on the way back to the ramp and call it a hell of a day
and THAT is a duck hunt.
