Re: Rate The Season
I call it a 10. every yr I have the health, money, and ability to hunt the waterfowl is a blessing to me. All in all it was a good season. We are learning a new property, and still only shot less than 10 ducks 2 times. The whole season I was in on the killing of a lifetime low 3 elusive northern shockers. Killed nearly nothin but mallards and pintails from 3rd week of dec till the end. Spent time afield with good friends. And got to see the excitement on my 3 yr olds face everyday I pulled in the driveway, just exstatic about the ducks and all the gear. It was a good season.
Damn, i thought I had that one
Is that buddy of yours tryin to blow that call or make love to it?

From the Opener til Christmas....9
From Christmas til Close............4
The season as a whole..............6.5
The last two weeks of the season mallards were paired up and very educated. It was almost impossible to get a group of mallards to finish.

Ill agree with Don Miller. Had the exact same feeling. Did scratch out a weird limit Sat. Redhead, Mallards, shoveler and woodies.

Agree with Mark, very similar for us, except maybe Opener til Jan 10th, certainly not the last 2-3 weeks we were expecting.Don Miller wrote:From the Opener til Christmas....9

Re: Rate The Season
Worst season I have had in a long time. No water and very few birds. Probably rate it around a 2.
