Re: Rate The Season
Every season is a 5 for me. Could always be better and could always be worse.

kill numbers- 3; good times- 10... our numbers were about half of what they shoulda been, but more mallards and pintails than normal too...

for exmaple you could kill a 4 greenheads (two banded), a mallard/black cross, and a mallard/gaddy cross and smash a hot blonde on the way back to the ramp and call it a hell of a day
Re: Rate The Season
8 for me. Due to a lack of water early in the year, I hunted a lot of new terrain and learned a lot. About average in terms of numbers, but way more mallards and gadwall than normal (probably because I got out of the trees during the early season). I also got my friend's son up to speed on the call. He called in his first group this year and was one proud little man.
I ended the season at home with the flu, so I missed the last three days.
My son Ryan (13) rates his season an 8 as well. He started the year with a knee injury so his hunting was limited to opening day only (and that was an ordeal that ended with us carrying him out) until mid December. He had a couple of awesome hunts in the late season, topped off by an all drake limit of mallards and teal on public land. He's become a fine duck hunter.

6 with a few moments of brillance
I am interested in purchasing duck calls that were made by Mike McLemore. I am a family member and they have a sentimental value.
