CCW holster

Postby deltadukman » Thu Jan 17, 2013 10:36 am

I carry a Springfield XDS .45 at the moment. Ive got it in a cheap uncle mikes in the small of my back. I am looking at the crossbreed mini tucks and the super tucks. Other than the obvious, size, what are the advantages of either. Or is that just it? I am thinking I want the mini tuck, but not sure.

Curious to hear the responses. I carry the same gun and have a crossbread on order. Wouldn't mind hearing what other good holsters are out there.

I don't have the Crossbreed, I have the CompTac MTAC. Same thing for all intensive purposes.
I think the difference is going to be gun coverage. Will the mini-tuck keep leather between you and your gun where it matters?

You may also want to check out Tucker Gunleather. He makes a good holster too.

Check out White Hat holsters out of Texas. That's where I got mine and I love it. I carry the full size M&P and can carry it all day long. Your welcome to look at mine before you buy and see what you think..

I bought a Foxx IWB off eBay for my Shield about a month ago, it was 39.99 an has been awesome. I do recommend upgrading to Kydex "hooks" instead of their standard metal though. I have Comp-tac, Uncle Mikes, Galco, Old Faithful and other IWB holsters and the Foxx is hard to be in both price and comfort!

As far as the difference in Crossbreeds, it's just size. The mini tuck was designed for the smaller pistols.

I know it is not exactly what you asked for, but here is a pic of the wallet holster that I use with my LCP.

I use thier Ultimate Concealed Carry Holster and love it.. Works great for those times when you have to tuck your shirt in/dress up.

I carry my Kimber 45 in a crossbreed and often forget I have it on ultil I get ready to take my pants off. It is great. Mine has the horsehide backing and is not combat cut.

Spend the extra and get the horse hair. I've got crossbreed for my Sig and Glock.
