Has anyone been seeing any birds around the Meridian area?

I generally just keep my mouth shut but since I am from Meridian and you are new I will give you an answer. Those of us that hunt in east MS are at a distinct disadvantage to our brothers closer to the major path of the flyway. Wood ducks seem most common in our area although I have seen a large number of hooded mergansers lately. I shouldn't forget the bluebills either, a few around.

Most people that frequent this site will be quick to point out that a good hunting spot is often given the protection usually reserved for loved ones. But since you asked a general question you get a general answer. With that being said PM me and I will give you what other useful advice I might offer.

He did not ask where your favorite hole was, he wanted to know if anyone in the area was SEEING any birds.

A nice way to respond to this could have been, "We are seeing quite a few" or "We are not seeing very many".

Tree i beg to differ. I have a hole that is on okatibee that has produced this year. 6 gads and 8 woodies. But with the resent balmy temps i am reluctant to make the trip from the northern part of the State. But thanks for all of the information.
