Ask DS, Best gloves for Waterfowl Hunting.
Last three days went through many different types of gloves. Everyone knows we had blowing snow, ice and rain in this time frame. Never made it past 0730 without wet hands. Help a brother out here. Point me in the right direction. Thanks in advance

The new drake gloves are pretty nice for warmth and "waterproofness" however, they're tough to shoot with and they're about $70.00 a pair

I am interested in purchasing duck calls that were made by Mike McLemore. I am a family member and they have a sentimental value.

I carry two pair with me. A big pair for the four wheeler ride in and out and a neoprene gauntlet pair for the decoys. I don't wear anything during the hunt. A buddy had some thin under armour gloves he swore by for a light option that would keep the windchill off and wouldn't hinder his shooting.

Those gloves are soft, warm, and they will save ya some pain in the cold. Thanks for the look.
Folks who say no gloves can do as they like they may be surprised.

Got a pair this Christmas. Best gloves I've found. Thin enough to shoot with, waterproof, and fairly warm. I have Raynaud's, where my hands swell up, turn blue and generally hurt like hell when they get real cold (which is pretty damn unfortunate for a duck hunter). I used to just tough it out til I got these.benjidp wrote:teul2 wrote:Pockets.

If you will break your tampons open there is a special warming/moisturizing/waterproofing cream inside that works wonders. Plus it gives you a boost of estrogen.
I don't use gloves while setting up, but for $1.50 a pop you can go to an army navy and buy shooter's mittens. They have a thumb and index finger slot and are made of some type of wool. Maybe alpaca fur, I don't know, but they are very warm. I keep them in my jacket and when sit-and-wait time comes I put them on.

Hey, just don't read. OR just go to the end of the post, that is where you'll find what I have gone around the world to come up with as a conclusion.

Crabbing gloves for riding in/coming out/picking up/putting out. Otherwise, no gloves.

ice armors are the best i've found, i usually keepm in the jacket while putting deeks out or gettingm in, but they work rather well wet, i just hate a glove on my call hand if i can stand it
