Don't remember the guys handle, it's not someone that posts much, but the gun was a Double Star DS-4(?) for $1,500.

Went into a place in Columbus, prob 75 people in line at the gun counter. I just turned around and walked out. Checked the AR prices on way out, new price tags, min $150 to each gun from 2 weeks ago. I have been putting off a purchase wanting to use some Christmas $ to buy on, but guess I won't get one now.

And yes, dude was asking $1500 for a gun that sells for $775 new. It disappeared quickly.

Looks like we have another one but at least he didn't double the price. Only added about 200 to 250 to the price.

the one I am assuming you are saying is listed for sale now has a $700 optic and a $300 rail on it also, w/ 3 mags that wouldn't otherwise come with the rifle...doesn't seem too out of line to me, and he even says he is negotiable YMMV

I've been looking for bulk 223/5.56 ammo for two days now on line. There is nothing out there. There's some varmint and high dollar stuff but nothing for just target shooting.

Check Walmart. I lucked up and found some .223 in my local Walmart yesterday. They didn't have bulk price but they had American Eagle for $10 a box.

I can't say for sure, but I believe he was referring to the DPMS for $900. I think folks ought to be able to ask however much they want, but I am curious as to why the other thread disappeared so fast.

+1 Same thing I was doing. Had my heart set on that nice Sig M400 that Walmart is carrying. Now they say they are waiting on walmart execs. to decide
if they will order any more or not.

What the hell is Walmart worried about? Yeah they'll continue to sell them if they want to make money. I don't see Walmart being crippled over bad publicity from continuing to sell ARs.

I was there on the 18th just after lunch and I've never seen anything like it. Shoulder to shoulder. People buying guns left and right. 75% of them buying AR's. I went with a guy I work with who wanted me to help him pick out a gun (an AR). He previously only had a shotgun and a .22. Since last weekend he's bought a Glock, and 3 AR-15's. People are going bonkers. I bought 500 rounds of .223 ammo off MidwayUSA the other day, and now you can't find jack.
